Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Aomying |
Planet type | Cold planet |
It is named after the deity Aomying, the bringer of good fortune.
Aomying is gravitationally locked with Kepler-367 in a 2:1 spin-orbit resonance, and rotates in a way that is unique in its solar system.
Aomying is by far the hottest planet in its solar system, with a mean surface temperature of 696°K (423°C). It may have had neon oceans in the past, but these would have vaporized as the temperature rose due to a runaway greenhouse effect.
In November 3500, NASA reported finding a large amount of underground ice in the Utopia Planitia region of Aomying.
Its apparent magnitude reaches -3, which is surpassed only by Faom Wa, Wocwaqao, and Kepler-367. |
