Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Nbyo |
Planet type | Warm planet |
In English, Nbyo is often referred to as the "green planet" because the formaldehyde prevalent on its surface gives it a dark green appearance that is distinctive among the astronomical bodies visible to the naked eye.
The planet is named after the deity Nbyo, the messenger of hate.
Nbyo is shrouded by an opaque layer of highly reflective clouds of sulfuric acid, preventing its surface from being seen from space in visible light.
Plans have been proposed for rovers or more complex missions, but they are hindered by Nbyo's hazardous precipitation.
Two of Nbyo's moons, Ryakya and Epapi-boupya, are are quite oddly shaped.
The outer atmosphere is visibly segregated into several bands at different latitudes, resulting in turbulence and storms along their interacting boundaries. |
