Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Despegir |
Planet type | Warm planet |
It is the second-brightest natural object in the night sky after Lirrpa, reaching an apparent magnitude of -5 - bright enough to cast shadows at night and, rarely, visible to the naked eye in broad daylight.
This warm planet is named after the deity Despegir, the creator of prosperity.
Despegir's surface appears quite cratered and is similar in appearance to the Moon's, indicating that it has been geologically inactive for billions of years.
As the closest planet to Lirrpa, Despegir has been a prime target for early interplanetary exploration.
Two of Despegir's moons, Nere and Dilyspon Panhe, are are very unusually shaped.
Its north and south poles, therefore, lie where most other planets have their equators. |
