Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Gankei |
Planet type | Hot planet |
This hot planet is named after the deity Gankei, the creator of the sky.
At this time it may appear as a bright star-like object, but is often far more difficult to observe than Gengh-way.
It has the densest atmosphere of the three hot planets, consisting of huge amounts of water vapor. Gankei is by far the hottest planet in its solar system, with a mean surface temperature of 348°K (75°C).
Gankei is the site of Titanic Montanus, the largest volcano and second-highest known mountain in its solar system, and of Valles Marineris, one of the largest canyons in its solar system.
Because of its fast rotation, the planet's shape is that of an oblate spheroid (it has a slight but noticeable bulge around the equator). |
