Suggested nameJipejo
Planet typeHot planet
The planet is named after the deity Jipejo, the bringer of the underworld.

Two spacecraft have visited Jipejo: Wayfinder 9 flew by 33 years ago; and Messenger, launched 22 years ago, orbited Jipejo over 55 times in four years before exhausting its plasma drive and crashing into the planet's atmosphere 8 years later.

As one of the brightest objects in the sky, Jipejo has been a major inspiration in native culture for as long as records have existed.

Plans have been proposed for rovers or more complex missions, but they are hindered by Jipejo's hazardous precipitation.

Liquid water cannot exist on the surface of Jipejo due to low atmospheric pressure, which is less than 7 percent of Afuje's, except at the highest elevations for short periods.

Jipejo can easily be seen from Afuje with the naked eye, as can its whiteish coloring.

The latest probe to visit the planet is Racer, which entered into orbit around Jipejo after a troublesome trip.
