Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Zerichi Tsu |
Planet type | Hot planet |
Orbiting within Gaya Guja Kyo's orbit, Zerichi Tsu is an inferior planet and never appears to venture far from Kepler-257; its maximum angular distance from Kepler-257 (elongation) is 72 degrees.
This planet is named after the deity Zerichi Tsu, the god of nature.
It has the densest atmosphere of the hot planets, consisting of huge amounts of nitric oxide.
Liquid water cannot exist on the surface of Zerichi Tsu due to low atmospheric pressure, which is less than 3 percent of Gaya Guja Kyo's, except at the lowest elevations for short periods. The two polar ice caps appear to be made largely of ice.
The outer atmosphere is visibly segregated into several bands at different latitudes, resulting in turbulence and storms along their interacting boundaries. |
Atmosphere | Nitric oxide | 99% |
Neon | 0.053% |
Ethane | 0% |
Hydrogen deuteride (HD) | 0% |
