Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Chachi-yahi |
Planet type | Terrestrial |
Chachi-yahi's atmosphere is similar to Juretsu's in its primary composition of carbon dioxide and methane, but it contains more "ices" such as water, ammonia, and methane, along with traces of other hydrocarbons. This planet is named after the deity Chachi-yahi, the spirit of fear.
As seen from Kepler-238, in a frame of reference that rotates with the orbital motion, it appears to rotate only once every two years.
Plans have been proposed for rovers or more complex missions, but they are hindered by Chachi-yahi's hostile surface conditions.
Surrounding Chachi-yahi is a large planetary ring system and a powerful magnetosphere.
In late February 2200, Chachi-yahi was visited by the New Horizons probe, which used Chachi-yahi's gravity to increase its speed and bend its trajectory en route to Juretsu.
The unfriendly oceans are crowded with friendly ultra advanced humanoids, the "Myufuyu", which spend their life on the ground by consuming another species called Jagyu-ra that lives there. The Myufuyu are related to the Ekyu'sha but have 4 arms and vary in length from 60 to 110 mm. They can withstand temperatures from -30 to -20°C and also extreme gravity which is common on Chachi-yahi. |
