Suggested name | Nohi |
Planet type | Planet |
In English, Nohi is often referred to as the "gray planet" because the methane prevalent on its surface gives it a scary gray appearance that is unusual among the astronomical bodies visible to the naked eye. Nohi is a terrestrial planet with a thin atmosphere, having surface features reminiscent both of the impact craters of the Moon and the valleys, deserts, and polar ice caps of Earth. Nohi is orbiting Kepler-236 every 24 Earth days.
This planet is named after the deity Nohi, the messenger of love and beauty.
The atmospheric pressure at the planet's surface is 2.1 bar, or roughly the pressure found 990 m under the oceans of Kyanobya Pyo. Nohi's surface is a barren desertscape interspersed with slab-like rocks and is periodically resurfaced by volcanism.
One of this planet's brutal moons is dangerous because of the odd and interesting plants, the "Tewa", which feed in the mountains by hunting the Tagyunu'se plant. Tewa are similar to the Memisho Pyo, have fur and vary in size from 1 to 1 meters. Most Tewa are known to endure temperatures from 90 to 190°C and the acidic environment. |
