Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Nopyuzu-do |
Planet type | Cold planet |
It is named after the deity Nopyuzu-do, the goddess of love and beauty.
An observer on Nopyuzu-do would therefore see only one winter every five years.
Having almost no atmosphere to retain heat, it has surface temperatures that vary diurnally more than on any other planet in its solar system, ranging from 125°K (-148°C) at night to 735°K (462°C) during the day across the equatorial regions.
Plans have been proposed for rovers or more complex missions, but they are hindered by Nopyuzu-do's hazardous precipitation. |
