Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Xeip Yu |
Planet type | Small cold gas planet |
It is named after the deity Xeip Yu, the bringer of chaos.
Xeip Yu is gravitationally locked with Kepler-20 in a 2:1 spin-orbit resonance, and rotates in a way that is unique in its solar system.
Xeip Yu's surface appears heavily bruised and is similar in appearance to the Moon's, indicating that it has been geologically inactive for billions of years.
The formaldehyde has probably photodissociated, and the free ammonia has been swept into interplanetary space by the solar wind because of the lack of a nitric oxide layer.
Two of Xeip Yu's moons, Eijwang and Qeilyiy Yinzhyou, are are slightly oddly shaped. |
Atmosphere | Ammonia | 97% |
Oxygen | 2.5% |
Formaldehyde | 0.26% |
