Suggested name | Qyingq |
Planet type | Terrestrial |
The planet is named after the deity Qyingq, the goddess of the sea.
Two spacecraft have visited Qyingq: Wayfinder 10 flew by 53 years ago; and Messenger, launched 25 years ago, orbited Qyingq over 120 times in four years before exhausting its pwoer source and crashing into the planet's surface 4 years later.
Qyingq is the site of Titanic Ridge, the tallest volcano and second-highest known mountain in its solar system, and of Valles Marineris, one of the largest canyons in its solar system.
In November 2000, NASA reported finding a large amount of underground ice in the Utopia Planitia region of Qyingq.
Because of its rapid rotation, the planet's shape is that of an oblate spheroid (it has a slight but noticeable bulge around the equator).
This brutal planet is occupied by odd poisonous carnivores that spend their life in caves by devouring a substance called "Bernengm" if the weather permits it. Most Shengzh Ying are related to Nwaizyu-lwang but have 5 eyes and vary in size from 13 to 23 meters. They can withstand temperatures from 0 to 40°C and even drought which is common on this planet. |
