Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Nahyuo |
Planet type | Planet |
It has the longest rotation period (445 days) of any planet in its solar system and rotates in the opposite direction to most other planets.
It is named after the deity Nahyuo, the creator of nature.
Two spacecraft have visited Nahyuo: Daedalus 9 flew by 44 years ago; and Messenger, launched 14 years ago, orbited Nahyuo over 50 times in four years before exhausting its pwoer source and crashing into the planet's atmosphere 6 years later.
Surrounding Nahyuo is a vast planetary ring system and a powerful magnetosphere.
In 2979, images from Wayfinder 6 showed Nahyuo as an almost featureless planet in visible light, without the cloud bands or storms associated with the other planets. |
