Suggested name | Euculo De |
Planet type | Warm planet |
The planet is named after the deity Euculo De, the spirit of destruction.
Euculo De's surface is a dry desertscape interspersed with slab-like rocks and is periodically resurfaced by volcanism.
Euculo De was one of the first planets to have its motions plotted across the sky - as early as the second millennium BC.
Optical ground-based telescopes are typically limited to resolving features about 240 kilometers across when Euculo De is closest because of Earth's atmosphere.
The latest probe to visit the planet is Racer, which entered into orbit around Euculo De after a very expensive trip. |
