Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Byoki |
Planet type | Cold planet |
Byoki is the fourth planet from Kepler-1633 and the second-smallest planet in its solar system.
It is a cold planet planet with a mass one-thousandth that of Kepler-1633, but two-and-a-half times that of all the other planets in its solar system combined. Byoki and Kyogyute Ju are cold planets rich in iron. For this reason, scientists often classify Byoki and Kyogyute Ju as "cold planets" to distinguish them from the other planets. The planet is named after the deity Byoki, the messenger of love and beauty.
Future astrobiology missions are planned, including the Byoki 1200 and ExoByoki rovers.
Because of its rapid rotation, the planet's shape is that of an oblate spheroid (it has a slight but noticeable bulge around the equator). The outer atmosphere is visibly segregated into several bands at different latitudes, resulting in turbulence and storms along their interacting boundaries. |
