Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Besamyu |
Planet type | Cold planet |
This planet is named after the deity Besamyu, the spirit of good fortune.
The planet telescopically displays the complete range of phases, similar to Venus and the Moon, as it moves in its inner orbit relative to Kepler-1596, which reoccurs over the so-called synodic period approximately every 186 days.
Besamyu was one of the first planets to have its motions plotted across the sky - as early as the second millennium BC.
In 1986, images from Frontier 8 showed Besamyu as an almost featureless planet in visible light, without the cloud bands or storms associated with the other cold planets.
The surface of this inhospitable planet is often known for its harmless earth-like bacteria known to spend their life in the mountains by consuming smaller pray if it is available. They are closely similar to the Puze'hya but have 6 arms and vary in length from 3 to 7 mm. Pyueryu-zu are able to endure temperatures from 30 to 90°C and the acidic environment which is common near the poles. |
