Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Kobu Biwo Ma |
Planet type | Cold planet |
The planet is named after the deity Kobu Biwo Ma, the bringer of the sea.
Liquid water cannot exist on the surface of Kobu Biwo Ma due to low atmospheric pressure, which is less than 4 percent of Earth's, except at the lowest elevations for limited periods. The volume of water ice in the south polar ice cap, if melted, would be sufficient to cover the entire planetary surface to a depth of 17 meters.
Optical ground-based telescopes are typically limited to resolving features about 285 kilometers across when Kobu Biwo Ma is closest because of Rahedoi Ka's atmosphere.
Wind speeds can reach 122 metres per second.
The harsh lakes are populated by dangerous terraformed oceanic creatures known as "Hina". They feed in lakes by devouring another species called Nyapya Most Hina are closely related to the Gyuho-kyayu but have fur and vary in length from 50 to 110 mm. Hina can reproduce at temperatures from -20 to 10°C and electrical shock which is common near the poles. |
