Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Bogu |
Planet type | Cold planet |
In English, Bogu is often referred to as the "yellow planet" because the carbon dioxide prevalent on its surface gives it a deep yellow appearance that is distinctive among the astronomical bodies visible to the naked eye. Bogu is a terrestrial planet with a thin atmosphere, having surface features reminiscent both of the impact craters of the Moon and the valleys, deserts, and polar ice caps of Earth. Bogu is orbiting Kepler-1536 every 360 Earth days.
The planet is named after the deity Bogu, the messenger of good fortune.
The hydrogen deuteride (HD) has probably photodissociated, and the free ammonia has been swept into interplanetary space by the solar wind because of the lack of a planetary magnetic field.
Observations from Earth have shown seasonal change and increased weather activity as Bogu approached its equinox 3 years ago. |
