Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Ebacod |
Planet type | Cold planet |
For this reason, scientists often classify Ebacod and Ebene as "cold planets" to distinguish them from the other planets. It is named after the deity Ebacod, the goddess of hate.
Its orbital eccentricity is the largest of all known planets in its solar system; at perihelion, Ebacod's distance from Kepler-1426 is only about two-thirds (or 112 pct) of its distance at aphelion.
The atmospheric pressure at the planet's surface is 0.015 bar, or roughly the pressure found 1260 m under the oceans of Earth. It may have had oxygen oceans in the past, but these would have vaporized as the temperature rose due to a runaway greenhouse effect.
In November 1200, NASA reported finding a large amount of underground ice in the Utopia Planitia region of Ebacod.
The latest probe to visit the planet is Pointer, which entered into orbit around Ebacod after a lengthy trip. |
