Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Migyumyo'hya |
Planet type | Cold planet |
This planet is named after the deity Migyumyo'hya, the spirit of hate.
It has the densest atmosphere of the cold planets, consisting mostly of carbon monoxide. It may have had nitrogen oceans in the past, but these would have vaporized as the temperature rose due to a runaway greenhouse effect.
Migyumyo'hya was one of the first planets to have its motions plotted across the sky - as early as the second millennium BC.
As the closest planet to Becho Ju, Migyumyo'hya has been a prime target for early interplanetary exploration.
Liquid water cannot exist on the surface of Migyumyo'hya due to low atmospheric pressure, which is less than 8 percent of Earth's, except at the lowest elevations for limited periods.
Migyumyo'hya can easily be seen from Becho Ju with the naked eye, as can its blueish coloring.
It may also have a rocky core of heavier elements, but like the other cold planets, Migyumyo'hya lacks a well-defined ozone layer. |
