Suggested name | Yokeim |
Planet type | Cold planet |
Yokeim is a terrestrial planet with a thin atmosphere, having surface features reminiscent both of the impact craters of the Moon and the valleys, deserts, and polar ice caps of Earth. Yokeim is orbiting Kepler-138 every 14 Earth days.
This cold planet is named after the deity Yokeim, the creator of the sky.
The planet telescopically displays the complete range of phases, similar to Venus and the Moon, as it moves in its inner orbit relative to Kepler-138, which reoccurs over the so-called synodic period approximately every 128 days.
Having almost no atmosphere to retain heat, it has surface temperatures that vary diurnally more than on any other planet in its solar system, ranging from 55°K (-218°C) at night to 1085°K (812°C) during the day across the equatorial regions.
Yokeim is primarily composed of hydrogen chloride with a significant part of its mass being ammonium hydrosulfide (NH4SH), though ammonium hydrosulfide (NH4SH) comprises only about a small amount of the number of molecules. |
Atmosphere | Hydrogen chloride | 87% |
Ammonium hydrosulfide (NH4SH) | 12% |
Ethane | 0.062% |
Sulfur dioxide | 0.003% |
Atmospheric pressure | 11 bar |
|
Moon | Areig | Very small slightly egg-shaped crater-filled moon |
Pyeqang Sh | Small round gaseous asteroid |
Dyin Byuan Weip | Medium-sized irregular rocky moon |
Zhyech | Huge irregular rocky moon |
Rerchyuan Gyang | Very small round oceanic moon |
