Suggested nameAnawo
Planet typeCold planet
Its orbital period around Kepler-126 of 100 earth days is the shortest of all the planets in its solar system. Anawo is a terrestrial planet with a thin atmosphere, having surface features reminiscent both of the impact craters of the Moon and the valleys, deserts, and polar ice caps of Earth. Anawo is orbiting Kepler-126 every 100 Earth days. It has the longest rotation period (445 days) of any planet in its solar system and rotates in the opposite direction to most other planets.

It is a cold planet planet with a mass one-thousandth that of Kepler-126, but two-and-a-half times that of all the other planets in its solar system combined. This planet is named after the deity Anawo, the creator of the underworld.

An observer on Anawo would therefore see only one winter every four years.

Two spacecraft have visited Anawo: Frontier 9 flew by 27 years ago; and Messenger, launched 11 years ago, orbited Anawo over 90 times in four years before exhausting its plasma drive and crashing into the planet's surface 4 years later.

The two polar ice caps appear to be made largely of methane ice.
