Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Emawi-tubon-u |
Planet type | Cold planet |
This cold planet is named after the deity Emawi-tubon-u, the demon of the sky.
The smooth Borealis basin in the northern hemisphere covers 27 percent of the planet and may be a giant impact feature.
Future astrobiology missions are planned, including the Emawi-tubon-u 1400 and ExoEmawi-tubon-u rovers.
Emawi-tubon-u is primarily composed of carbonyl sulfide with a significant part of its mass being methane, though methane comprises only about a tiny amount of the number of molecules.
Emawi-tubon-u has been explored on several occasions by robotic spacecraft, most notably during the early Pioneer and Frontier flyby missions and later by the Hawking orbiter. Future targets for exploration in the Emawi-tubon-u system include the probable ice-covered liquid ocean of its moon Udul'uxony. |
