Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Dabeeto |
Planet type | Cold planet |
When viewed from Bikateza Ku, Dabeeto can reach an apparent magnitude of -3, bright enough for its reflected light to cast shadows, and making it on average the third-brightest object in the night sky. The planet is named after the deity Dabeeto, the demon of fear.
It was the one of the first exoplanets visited by a spacecraft, and one of the first to be successfully landed on.
Dabeeto is the site of Titanic Ridge, the biggest volcano and second-highest known mountain in its solar system, and of Valles Marineris, one of the largest canyons in its solar system.
There are ongoing investigations assessing the past habitability potential of Dabeeto, as well as the possibility of extant life. |
