Suggested name | Hezo Sa |
Planet type | Warm planet |
Hezo Sa is a terrestrial planet with a thin atmosphere, having surface features reminiscent both of the impact craters of the Moon and the valleys, deserts, and polar ice caps of Earth. Hezo Sa is orbiting Kepler-11 every 10 Earth days. It is the second-brightest natural object in the night sky after Shosomyu-kya, reaching an apparent magnitude of -5 - bright enough to cast shadows at night and, sometimes, visible to the naked eye in broad daylight. Orbiting within Shosomyu-kya's orbit, Hezo Sa is an inferior planet and never appears to venture far from Kepler-11; its maximum angular distance from Kepler-11 (elongation) is 46 degrees.
The planet is named after the deity Hezo Sa, the messenger of the underworld.
The latest probe to visit the planet is Juno, which entered into orbit around Hezo Sa after a tricky journey. |
