Suggested nameByaryanu
Planet typeCold planet
In English, Byaryanu is often referred to as the "brown planet" because the methane prevalent on its surface gives it a dark brown appearance that is recognizable among the astronomical bodies visible to the naked eye.

It is the coldest planetary atmosphere in its solar system, with a minimum temperature of 48°K (-225°C), and has a complex, layered cloud structure with methane thought to make up the lowest clouds, and ethane the uppermost layer of clouds. The planet is named after the deity Byaryanu, the bringer of dreams.

An observer on Byaryanu would therefore see only one sunset every three years.

Its orbital eccentricity is the largest of all known planets in its solar system; at perihelion, Byaryanu's distance from Kepler-1175 is only about two-thirds (or 53 pct) of its distance at aphelion.

Byaryanu's thick clouds render observation of its surface impossible in visible light, and the first detailed maps did not emerge until the arrival of the Magellan orbiter 28 years ago.

Observations from Earth have shown seasonal change and increased weather activity as Byaryanu approached its equinox 9 years ago.
