Suggested name | Ehemyo-mu |
Planet type | Hot planet |
Ehemyo-mu is the oldest planet known belonging to Kepler-115 and one of the smallest in its solar system. Ehemyo-mu and Zagyo Meke are hot planets rich in iron. It is the coldest planetary atmosphere in its solar system, with a minimum temperature of 85°K (-188°C), and has a complex, layered cloud structure with hydrogen deuteride (HD) thought to make up the lowest clouds, and krypton the uppermost layer of clouds. This planet is named after the deity Ehemyo-mu, the bringer of the sea.
The atmospheric pressure at the planet's surface is 0.06 bar, or roughly the pressure found 450 m under the oceans of Earth.
The volume of water detected has been estimated to be equivalent to the volume of water in Earth's oceans. |
Atmosphere | Krypton | 86% |
Hydrogen deuteride (HD) | 12% |
Ethane | 0.81% |
Hydrogen | 0.55% |
