Suggested name | Kyunyo Nya |
Planet type | Cold planet |
Kyunyo Nya is the closest planet to Kepler-1154 and one of the smallest in its solar system. Kyunyo Nya is similar in composition to Samyuna-me, and both have different bulk chemical composition from that of the larger cold planets. It is named after the deity Kyunyo Nya, the god of the underworld.
Kyunyo Nya is a cold planet and is sometimes called Earth's "sister planet" because of their similar size, mass, proximity to Kepler-1154, and bulk composition. It is radically different from Samyuna-me in other respects.
As the closest planet to Samyuna-me, Kyunyo Nya has been a prime target for early extra solar exploration. It was the one of the first exoplanets visited by a spacecraft, and one of the first to be successfully landed on.
The rotational period and seasonal cycles of Kyunyo Nya are likewise similar to those of Earth, as is the tilt that produces the seasons.
Like many of the other cold planets, Kyunyo Nya has a ring system, a magnetosphere, and numerous moons, Naso being the least recognizable one. In 2085, images from Daedalus 9 showed Kyunyo Nya as an almost featureless planet in visible light, without the cloud bands or storms associated with the other cold planets. |
