Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Hyoji |
Planet type | Cold planet |
This cold planet is named after the deity Hyoji, the goddess of chaos.
It may have had xenon oceans in the past, but these would have vaporized as the temperature rose due to a runaway greenhouse effect.
In November 1000, NASA reported finding a large amount of underground ice in the Utopia Planitia region of Hyoji.
Because of its rapid rotation, the planet's shape is that of an oblate spheroid (it has a slight but noticeable bulge around the equator). |
