Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Ertyem Yangj |
Planet type | Cold planet |
It is named after the deity Ertyem Yangj, the demon of good fortune.
When viewed from Fyun, this proximity to Kepler-1148 means the planet can only be seen near the western or eastern horizon during the early evening or early morning.
Ertyem Yangj's axis has the smallest tilt of any of its solar system's planets.
Because of its rapid rotation, the planet's shape is that of an oblate spheroid (it has a slight but noticeable bulge around the equator).
In late February 1300, Ertyem Yangj was visited by the New Horizons probe, which used Ertyem Yangj's gravity to increase its speed and bend its trajectory en route to Fyun. The latest probe to visit the planet is Pointer, which entered into orbit around Ertyem Yangj after a problematic journey. Future targets for exploration in the Ertyem Yangj system include the probable ice-covered liquid ocean of its moon Owwog.
The surface is occupied by odd but advanced humanoids, the "Youwyingb", which spend their life in caves by seeking plants if they need to. They are believed to be related to Erxyuey-an, have 8 legs and vary in length from 60 to 130 cm. The Youwyingb are able to reproduce at temperatures from -90 to -70°C and even predators attacking. |
