Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Anuwe |
Planet type | Cold planet |
Anuwe is a terrestrial planet with a thin atmosphere, having surface features reminiscent both of the impact craters of the Moon and the valleys, deserts, and polar ice caps of Earth. Anuwe is orbiting Kepler-1124 every 2.9 Earth days.
Anuwe is the oldest planet known belonging to Kepler-1124 and one of the oldest in its solar system. This planet is named after the deity Anuwe, the god of destruction.
Anuwe is a cold planet and is sometimes called Earth's "brother planet" because of their similar size, mass, proximity to Kepler-1124, and bulk composition. Anuwe is by far the hottest planet in its solar system, with a mean surface temperature of 609°K (336°C).
The rotational period and seasonal cycles of Anuwe are likewise similar to those of Vana, as is the tilt that produces the seasons.
Anuwe has been explored on several occasions by robotic spacecraft, most notably during the early Pioneer and Frontier flyby missions and later by the Galileo orbiter.
Wind speeds can reach 149 metres per second. |
