Suggested name | Yingq-ejwei |
Planet type | Cold planet |
Yingq-ejwei and Qeichyu are cold planets rich in rock. It is the coldest planetary atmosphere in its solar system, with a minimum temperature of 73°K (-200°C), and has a complex, layered cloud structure with methane thought to make up the lowest clouds, and oxygen the uppermost layer of clouds. It is named after the deity Yingq-ejwei, the bringer of good fortune.
Yingq-ejwei's surface is a dry desertscape interspersed with slab-like rocks and is periodically resurfaced by volcanism.
Yingq-ejwei's dense clouds render observation of its surface impossible in visible light, and the first detailed maps did not emerge until the arrival of the Magellan orbiter 48 years ago.
Its apparent magnitude reaches -3, which is surpassed only by Qeichyu, Ywen, and Kepler-1084.
The arid lakes are mostly populated by barbaric interesting insects called the "Jyanc-e". They survive scattered in groups by consuming plants if they can. Jyanc-e are related to Waireng but have 4 tentacles and vary in size from 14 to 20 cm. Most Jyanc-e are able to withstand temperatures from 100 to 170°C and sometimes drought. |
