Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Turgel |
Planet type | Cold planet |
Turgel is the smallest and most well-known planet in its solar system. Turgel is a terrestrial planet with a thin atmosphere, having surface features reminiscent both of the impact craters of the Moon and the valleys, deserts, and polar ice caps of Earth. Turgel is orbiting Kepler-1068 every 17 Earth days.
This planet is named after the deity Turgel, the spirit of hate.
Because of its rapid rotation, the planet's shape is that of an oblate spheroid (it has a slight but noticeable bulge around the equator).
The Turgel system has a unique configuration among those of the planets because its axis of rotation is tilted sideways, nearly into the plane of its solar orbit. |
