Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Rarekim |
Planet type | Cold planet |
It is the coldest planetary atmosphere in its solar system, with a minimum temperature of 83°K (-190°C), and has a complex, layered cloud structure with nitric oxide thought to make up the lowest clouds, and hydrogen deuteride (HD) the uppermost layer of clouds. The planet telescopically displays the complete range of phases, similar to Venus and the Moon, as it moves in its inner orbit relative to Kepler-1047, which reoccurs over the so-called synodic period approximately every 70 days.
It may have had hydrogen peroxide oceans in the past, but these would have vaporized as the temperature rose due to a runaway greenhouse effect.
The two polar ice caps appear to be made largely of methane ice.
Its north and south poles, therefore, lie where most other planets have their equators. |
Atmosphere | Hydrogen deuteride (HD) | 86% |
