Suggested name | Xwaikyin |
Planet type | Cold planet |
It is a cold planet planet with a mass one-thousandth that of Kepler-1040, but two-and-a-half times that of all the other planets in its solar system combined. Xwaikyin's atmosphere is similar to Lecyou-gyao's in its primary composition of carbon dioxide and oxygen, but it contains more "ices" such as water, ammonia, and methane, along with traces of other hydrocarbons. It is the coldest planetary atmosphere in its solar system, with a minimum temperature of 53°K (-220°C), and has a complex, layered cloud structure with oxygen thought to make up the lowest clouds, and carbon dioxide the uppermost layer of clouds. It is named after the deity Xwaikyin, the messenger of the sky.
Xwaikyin's axis has the smallest tilt of any of its solar system's planets.
It was the one of the first exoplanets visited by a spacecraft, and one of the first to be successfully landed on.
Xwaikyin has been explored on several occasions by robotic spacecraft, most notably during the early Pioneer and Daedalus flyby missions and later by the Galileo orbiter. The latest probe to visit the planet is Pointer, which entered into orbit around Xwaikyin after a tricky ride.
The lovely surface is mostly crowded with harmless primordial herbivores known as "Wang Zengk". They spend their life only by finding nourishment in the Wens'wen that lives there. The Wang Zengk are related to the Chwei Qan, have fur and vary in length from 60 to 100 mm. They are able to reproduce at temperatures from 80 to 170°C and to some degree high atmospheric pressure which is common on this planet. |
