Suggested nameAecarke Lyp
Planet typeCold planet
This planet is named after the deity Aecarke Lyp, the creator of hate.

An observer on Aecarke Lyp would therefore see only one day every two years.

Two spacecraft have visited Aecarke Lyp: Wayfinder 9 flew by 36 years ago; and Messenger, launched 20 years ago, orbited Aecarke Lyp over 120 times in four years before exhausting its fuel and crashing into the planet's atmosphere 9 years later.

It has the densest atmosphere of the cold planets, consisting partly of ammonium hydrosulfide (NH4SH).

It was the one of the first exoplanets visited by a spacecraft, and one of the first to be successfully landed on.

The smooth Borealis basin in the northern hemisphere covers 33 percent of the planet and may be a giant impact feature.

Liquid water cannot exist on the surface of Aecarke Lyp due to low atmospheric pressure, which is less than 4 percent of Caorixae's, except at the lowest elevations for short periods.
