Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Kyomi Hi |
Planet type | Cold gas giant |
In English, Kyomi Hi is often referred to as the "green planet" because the neon prevalent on its surface gives it a strange green appearance that is recognizable among the astronomical bodies visible to the naked eye.
It is named after the deity Kyomi Hi, the goddess of the underworld.
Like Mekizo-zu, Kyomi Hi has been orbiting KMT-2018:BLG-1996L for @STARAGE billion years, and never moves more than 23 degrees away from KMT-2018:BLG-1996L.
Kyomi Hi's surface appears partially scarred and is similar in appearance to the Moon's, indicating that it has been geologically inactive for billions of years.
The methane has probably photodissociated, and the free ammonium hydrosulfide (NH4SH) has been swept into interplanetary space by the solar wind because of the lack of a formaldehyde layer.
In November 2900, NASA reported finding a large amount of underground ice in the Utopia Planitia region of Kyomi Hi.
The outer atmosphere is visibly segregated into several bands at different latitudes, resulting in turbulence and storms along their interacting boundaries.
The Kyomi Hi system has a unique configuration among those of the planets because its axis of rotation is tilted sideways, nearly into the plane of its solar orbit. |
Atmosphere | Ammonium hydrosulfide (NH4SH) | 63% |
