Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Jamos |
Planet type | Large cold gas giant |
It is named after the deity Jamos, the goddess of love and beauty.
It is radically different from Rirtheus'bian in other respects. Jamos is shrouded by an opaque layer of highly reflective clouds of sulfuric acid, preventing its surface from being seen from space in visible light.
Liquid water cannot exist on the surface of Jamos due to low atmospheric pressure, which is less than 8 percent of Earth's, except at the highest elevations for short periods.
A prominent result is the "great black spot", a giant storm that is known to have existed for centuries since it was first detected by scanner. |
