Jetet's atmosphere is similar to Pudolexy's in its primary composition of oxygen and helium, but it contains more "ices" such as water, ammonia, and methane, along with traces of other hydrocarbons. The planet is named after the deity Jetet, the god of chaos.
As the closest planet to Pudolexy, Jetet has been a prime target for early interplanetary exploration.
Liquid water cannot exist on the surface of Jetet due to low atmospheric pressure, which is less than 5 percent of Pudolexy's, except at the highest elevations for limited periods. The volume of water ice in the south polar ice cap, if melted, would be sufficient to cover the entire planetary surface to a depth of 8 meters. |
