Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Gaizu |
Planet type | Cold planet |
The planet is named after the deity Gaizu, the god of the sky.
Gaizu's surface is a arid desertscape interspersed with slab-like rocks and is periodically resurfaced by volcanism.
Liquid water cannot exist on the surface of Gaizu due to low atmospheric pressure, which is less than 9 percent of Myame's, except at the highest elevations for limited periods.
The latest probe to visit the planet is Juno, which entered into orbit around Gaizu after a troublesome journey.
In 1688, images from Wayfinder 8 showed Gaizu as an almost featureless planet in visible light, without the cloud bands or storms associated with the other cold planets. |
