Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Gubaku |
Planet type | Large hot gas giant |
The interior of Gubaku is mainly composed of ices and molten metal. It is named after the deity Gubaku, the spirit of chaos.
An observer on Gubaku would therefore see only one sunset every three years.
Gubaku's axis has the smallest tilt of any of its solar system's planets.
Gubaku can easily be seen from Kyorepi-chiju with the naked eye, as can its blackish coloring.
In 1986, images from Frontier 5 showed Gubaku as an almost featureless planet in visible light, without the cloud bands or storms associated with the other large hot gas giants. Wind speeds can reach 117 metres per second. |
