Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Gapya Hyu |
Planet type | Warm planet |
It has the longest rotation period (445 days) of any planet in its solar system and rotates in the opposite direction to most other planets.
Gapya Hyu is the only habitable planet orbiting K2-316 and one of the smallest in its solar system. The planet is named after the deity Gapya Hyu, the goddess of love and beauty.
The planet telescopically displays the complete range of phases, similar to Venus and the Moon, as it moves in its inner orbit relative to K2-316, which reoccurs over the so-called synodic period approximately every 168 days.
Gapya Hyu is by far the hottest planet in its solar system, with a mean surface temperature of 587°K (314°C).
Its north and south poles, therefore, lie where most other planets have their equators. |
