Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Roku |
Planet type | Small hot gas planet |
When viewed from Nuwate'rapyu, Roku can reach an apparent magnitude of -3, bright enough for its reflected light to cast shadows, and making it on average the third-brightest object in the night sky. This planet is named after the deity Roku, the demon of destruction.
The planet telescopically displays the complete range of phases, similar to Venus and the Moon, as it moves in its inner orbit relative to K2-266, which reoccurs over the so-called synodic period approximately every 116 days.
Roku is a small hot gas planet and is sometimes called Earth's "sister planet" because of their similar size, mass, proximity to K2-266, and bulk composition. It has the densest atmosphere of the three small hot gas planets, consisting partly of argon.
As the closest planet to Nuwate'rapyu, Roku has been a prime target for early interplanetary exploration. |
