Suggested namePata
Planet typeWarm gas giant
Pata is the fourth planet from K2-232 and the second-smallest planet in its solar system. Pata is a terrestrial planet with a thin atmosphere, having surface features reminiscent both of the impact craters of the Moon and the valleys, deserts, and polar ice caps of Earth. Pata is orbiting K2-232 every 11 Earth days.

It is named after the deity Pata, the god of the sea.

In 1092, images from Daedalus 5 showed Pata as an almost featureless planet in visible light, without the cloud bands or storms associated with the other warm gas giants.

This pleasant place is entirely dangerous because of the harmless stone-age insects that survive in deep valleys by seeking something called Gyaryu-u. The Geifu Myo are similar to the Rugo but have 12 tentacles and vary in length from 80 to 90 mm. Most Geifu Myo are able to live at temperatures from 0 to 20°C and severe infection which is rare on this planet.
