Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Ehen Ir |
Planet type | Hot planet |
In English, Ehen Ir is often referred to as the "green planet" because the molecular hydrogen prevalent on its surface gives it a dark green appearance that is unusual among the astronomical bodies visible to the naked eye.
Ehen Ir and Nyhaj'ut are hot planets rich in iron. This hot planet is named after the deity Ehen Ir, the demon of dreams.
Liquid water cannot exist on the surface of Ehen Ir due to low atmospheric pressure, which is less than 6 percent of Earth's, except at the highest elevations for short periods.
Its apparent magnitude reaches -3, which is surpassed only by Nyhaj'ut, Nosade'w, and K2-122. Optical ground-based telescopes are typically limited to resolving features about 285 kilometers across when Ehen Ir is closest because of Earth's atmosphere.
It may also have a rocky core of heavier elements, but like the other hot planets, Ehen Ir lacks a well-defined magnetic field. |
