Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Hangf'ang |
Planet type | Cold gas giant |
Hangf'ang is the only habitable planet orbiting IM Lup and one of the smallest in its solar system. This cold gas giant is named after the deity Hangf'ang, the god of the sky.
When viewed from Zounaot, this proximity to IM Lup means the planet can only be seen near the western or eastern horizon during the early evening or early morning.
It may have had water vapor oceans in the past, but these would have vaporized as the temperature rose due to a runaway greenhouse effect.
Surrounding Hangf'ang is a large planetary ring system and a powerful magnetosphere. |
