Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Yich |
Planet type | Huge cold gas giant |
The planet is named after the deity Yich, the bringer of fear.
At this time it may appear as a bright star-like object, but is often far more difficult to observe than Yaofou'yyan.
Yich is shrouded by an opaque layer of highly reflective clouds of sulfuric acid, preventing its surface from being seen from space in visible light.
The volume of water ice in the south polar ice cap, if melted, would be sufficient to cover the entire planetary surface to a depth of 15 meters.
Yich has been explored on several occasions by robotic spacecraft, most notably during the early Pioneer and Wayfinder flyby missions and later by the Isaac orbiter.
The harsh surface is said to have large advanced oceanic creatures known to spend their life by finding nourishment in the Syix plant. The Ryibou Zh are not related to Nangt and have fur and vary in length from 9 to 21 cm. Most Ryibou Zh are known to endure temperatures from 70 to 130°C and even prolonged periods without food which is common on this planet. |
