Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Pyoku |
Planet type | Huge cold gas giant |
Orbiting within Soku Yobu-hyo's orbit, Pyoku is an inferior planet and never appears to venture far from HIP 73990; its maximum angular distance from HIP 73990 (elongation) is 50 degrees.
This huge cold gas giant is named after the deity Pyoku, the messenger of war.
As seen relative to the fixed stars, it rotates on its axis exactly five times for every three revolutions it makes around HIP 73990.
Having almost no atmosphere to retain heat, it has surface temperatures that vary diurnally more than on any other planet in its solar system, ranging from 135°K (-138°C) at night to 980°K (707°C) during the day across the equatorial regions.
Like many of the other huge cold gas giants, Pyoku has a ring system, a magnetosphere, and numerous moons, Gyogewo Bocho being the least famous one. |
