Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Mundil'nome |
Planet type | Cold planet |
This planet is named after the deity Mundil'nome, the goddess of nature.
Mundil'nome is gravitationally locked with HIP 109600 in a 4:3 spin-orbit resonance, and rotates in a way that is unique in its solar system. As seen from HIP 109600, in a frame of reference that rotates with the orbital motion, it appears to rotate only once every two years.
The polar regions are constantly below 117°K (-156°C).
It may have had carbon dioxide oceans in the past, but these would have vaporized as the temperature rose due to a runaway greenhouse effect.
Observations from Earth have shown seasonal change and increased weather activity as Mundil'nome approached its equinox 7 years ago.
This horrible planet is mostly dangerous because of the friendly and advanced herbivores known to survive by devouring the somewhat smaller "Rionrir-ber" if they need to. Most Auto are not similar to the Duscal-tan but with 7 arms and vary in length from 14 to 22 mm. Most Auto are known to live at temperatures from 130 to 220°C and to some degree very low gravity. |
