Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Hobu |
Planet type | Hot planet |
It is named after the deity Hobu, the messenger of hate.
As seen from HD 93963 A, in a frame of reference that rotates with the orbital motion, it appears to rotate only once every two years.
Its orbital eccentricity is the largest of all known planets in its solar system; at perihelion, Hobu's distance from HD 93963 A is only about two-thirds (or 102 pct) of its distance at aphelion. Hobu's surface appears very rippled and is similar in appearance to the Moon's, indicating that it has been geologically inactive for billions of years.
Hobu is shrouded by an opaque layer of highly reflective clouds of sulfuric acid, preventing its surface from being seen from space in visible light. |
