Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Nafari |
Planet type | Cold planet |
It is named after the deity Nafari, the creator of the sky.
The planet telescopically displays the complete range of phases, similar to Venus and the Moon, as it moves in its inner orbit relative to HD 7449 A, which reoccurs over the so-called synodic period approximately every 64 days.
The polar regions are constantly below 99°K (-174°C).
Nafari is by far the hottest planet in its solar system, with a mean surface temperature of 522°K (249°C). Nafari's surface is a barren desertscape interspersed with slab-like rocks and is periodically resurfaced by volcanism.
The Nafari system has a unique configuration among those of the planets because its axis of rotation is tilted sideways, nearly into the plane of its solar orbit. Observations from Earth have shown seasonal change and increased weather activity as Nafari approached its equinox 4 years ago. |
